Section 1: Project Details



The Project Details section serves as the initial step in creating a project on Steer. This is where you provide the essential information that sets the foundation for the project.

Let’s explore the key fields and their importance in defining the project.

Upon logging in to Steer, you will be directed to the Projects portfolio.
Click on the ➕ plus sign button. This will redirect you to the Configure Project page, where you can start creating your project.

Under the Project details section, define the required fields such as:

Name – name or title of the project.
Type – select whether the project is residential or non-residential.
Start and End Date – define the project’s timeline to ensure clarity on project duration and deadlines for deliverables.

Click on Show Optional Details to access additional fields and provide further information about your project.

Description – provide a detailed description of the project that outlines its objectives, scope or purpose.
Code
Status
Owner – identify the project owner
Budget – specify the budget allocated for the project
Thumbnail – upload a thumbnail image or logo the represents the project.

Click Next to proceed to the next section.
